Apia Park National Stadium

Throughout 2006, and into 2007 Apia Park underwent a major facelift in preparation for 2007 South Pacific Games hosted here in Samoa.
The Apia Park National Stadium hosted the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the SPG2007 as well as the SPG2007 Athletics, Rugby 7's and Touch Rugby Competitions. It was also the venue for the Oceania Athletics Championships in 2006, and was home for the 2008 IRB Rugby World 7's Qualifiers.

Samoa Aquatic Centre, Faleata
The Samoa Aquatic Centre, located at the Faleata Sports Complex, is a newly constructed world-class facility built especially for the South Pacific Games. The completion of the structure saw Samoa move to have the only other certified aquatic centre, outside Australia, in the Pacific region.
It was also the venue for the 2007 Oceania Swimming Championships, and will host the 2010 Oceania Swimming Championships.

Target Shoot Information
The Field of Play can accommodate 20 plus targets.
The Field is approximately 60m wide x 120m in length.
The warm up area can accommodate at least 3 targets adjacent to the FOP (Field of Play).
The overshoot area is approximately a further 20m ended with a bank.

Baseball Stadium, Faleata
The Baseball Stadium in Faleata was a newly constructed venue for the South Pacific Games in 2007.
It is the only baseball diamond in Samoa.

Field Specifications
A dolerite track runs along the first and third foul line fences and along the outfield fence.
The outfield fence is at 304 RF/320 LF ft. and 390 ft. in CF.
The Home Run Fence is set at 330 LF/RF and 390 CF Feet with an 8 foot fence.
The venue is installed with the fixed center pole Hollywood Base system.

The Apia Beach Courts were constructed for Beach Volleyball training for the 2007 South Pacific Games.
Location
The Apia Beach Courts are located just behind the Central Bank of Samoa in the centre of Apia.

The Beach Volleyball Courts in Faleata were newly constructed for the 2007 South Pacific Games held here in Samoa. This was the first time an international Beach Volleyball competition was held in Samoa.

Samoa Gardens Cricket Ovals, Faleata
The Samoa Gardens Cricket Ovals in Faleata have been the home to SICA (Samoa International Cricket Association, formerly SECA Samoa English Cricket Association) for many years, and hosts for numerous international tournaments.

Gymnasium #1, Faleata
Gymnasium #1 was constructed in preparation for the 2007 South Pacific Games, but it also housed the Oceania Weightlifting Institute from 2006 - 2007.
During the SPG2007, three sports held their competitions in the Gymnasium: Bodybuilding, Boxing and Weightlifting.
Since the SPG2007, the gymnasium has hosted the International Weightlifting Federation's World Cup in 2007, and Oceania Boxing's Qualifier for the Beijing Olympic Games in March, 2008.

The Apia Park Gymnasium was renovated and upgraded for the 2007 South Pacific Games and hosted the Table Tennis & Badminton competitions.

The Hockey Field at Faleata was newly constructed for the 2007 South Pacific Games which was held in Samoa.

The Lawn Bowls Greens in Faleata was a new venue constructed for the 2007 South Pacific Games Lawn Bowls competition.

The Tanoa Bowling Club has one official sized Lawn Bowls green. It is located inside the Apia Park Sports Complex.

Multi Sport Centre, Faleata
The Multi Sport Centre can cater for a number of sports with it's open plan layout and movable seating. It hosted the 2007 South Pacific Games Judo, Taekwondo, Powerlifting, and Wrestling competitions.
Currently it is being used by the Samoa Weightlifting Federation for their training.

The Netball Stadium located in the Apia Park Sports Complex is a completely reconstructed Netball venue which has replaced the three rundown outdoor courts that were in existence.
The Netball stadium was the home to the 2007 South Pacific Games Netball competition.

Prince Edward Park, Savai'i
Prince Edward Park is traditionally a rugby park - with many major competitions being held at this well-kept, serene venue.

Prince Edward Park is located in the village of Faasaleleage approximately 3 km from Salelologa, the main township of Savai'i.

The Tafaigata Shooting Range is the first of it's kind for Samoa, constructed especially for the 2007 South Pacific Games.

The Shooting Range at Tafaigata is 4 kilometres away from the Faleata Sports Complex a 15 minute drive inland from downtown Apia.

Tennis Courts, Apia Park
As with all the games venues the Apia Park Tennis Courts were also been extended and and upgraded. There are now seven International standard courts. The facility hosted the 2007 Davis Cup Qualifiers at the beginning of April.
